Questions and answers

How is ColibriDB licensed?

ColibriDB is a commercial product priced per cluster per month. You can evaluate it for 5 days on a hosted cluster we run for you, from your browser, with nothing to install. Use is governed by the Software License Agreement linked in the footer.

What counts as a cluster?

One independent ColibriDB deployment: a set of nodes with their proxies and control plane that replicate together. Business allows up to 6 nodes per cluster; Enterprise has no node limit.

How do upgrades work?

Rolling. The Kubernetes operator restarts one pod at a time, only when every pod is ready and the replicas have caught up, and it refuses downgrades across an on-disk format change.

Where does my data live?

Where you run ColibriDB: your servers, your Kubernetes cluster, your cloud region. Backups go to the S3 bucket you configure, and telemetry is exported over OTLP only to the endpoint you choose.

What do the support levels include?

Business: business hours, next-business-day response. Enterprise: 24/7 with a 1-hour response for critical issues. During a trial you get the Business support level.

Where does the hosted trial run?

In the region you pick when you sign up, from the list on the trial page. Your trial cluster and the data you store in it stay in that region until the trial ends and they are deleted. We turn on more regions as demand grows.
